"Flower Celebration 02" Make sure to check out the companion piece! The original was created on canvas with the fluid art technique pour painting. I used a swipe technique on this which involves carefully laying down the chosen colors and lightly dragging another color (in this case, white) across the colors which has been mixed with silicone and causes bubbles to appear that have multiple colors in them. Then using balloon smashes to make the flowers. It's just like it sounds, I used a balloon to smoosh into the paint surface and when you remove it the paint pulls in causing a floral effect. After it dried, I poured small puddles on top of each flower and did another little smash to get a little bit more definition. Bursts of color, aqua, oranges and purples and deep blues. Which lucky person will be getting this today?
